Two transverse latches are arranged outside the lift car of the error-opening-prevention elevator, when the elevator is overhauled, the triangular prism end of a rotating shaft is sleeved with a triangular key by a maintenance worker inside the lift car, the rotating shaft is forwards rotated to drive the transverse latches through gears to advance in the direction of the lateral wall of the shaft, and rotation is ended when the ends of the transverse latches are completely inserted into locking grooves. When the transverse latches are inserted into the locking grooves, even though being suddenly started, the elevator cannot ascend or descend, and the personnel safety of the maintenance worker is guaranteed.
