The reconstruction and extension of highways change the grade and scale of roads, so that it will produce certain traffic impact on the surrounding area highway network. Firstly, this paper establishes the secondary comprehensive evaluation index model of highways reconstruction and extension traffic impact on the area highway network from the traffic characteristics, service level, transportation efficiency and safety four aspects. Then, using the before after contrast thought to calculate the deviation rate of each evaluation index, and determines the weight by means of the optimal transitive matrix method of uncertain AHP. Lastly, this paper analyzes the before and after highways reconstruction and extension traffic impact on the area highway network with reference to the before after contrast method.
