The non-invasive clamp on ultrasonic method for reliable and accurate flow measurement of gases has been proven in many practical applications. Given the requirements and conditions in underground gas storage operations (bidirectional flow, high pressures and wide dynamic ranges), clamp on non-invasive flow meters are an ideal solution for all operational flow measurement tasks. The inherent cost and performance advantages of clamp on meters make them an ideal technology for all installations, not just for retrofits. The transducers installed on the outside of a pipe make them largely insensitive to gas wetness during the gas withdrawal process. Furthermore, they are not subjected to mechanical wear or malfunction through hydrate formation. Installation, maintenance and operations are done with a minimal amount of labour costs and no process interruptions. The non-invasive method brings ecological value as well as economical value for the company's bottom line.
