The autonomous benthic explorer (ABE) autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution has been designed to perform spatio-temporal surveys of the sea floor. ABE's precise navigation and control capabilities are key to generating high-resolution, multi-sensor data sets. This article details the capabilities associated withe ABE's video camera system.
