For pt.I see ibid., vol.30, no.433, p.26 (1975). The description of the operating mechanism of the Bendix type of starter is continued, with reference to the risks of damage and improvements to avoid them. The Bosch starter, with axially sliding rotor, is then described, emphasizing the difference between its pinion engagement mechanism and that of the Bendix. There is some reference to the combined starter and dynamo.
