Vehicular ad-hoc network is a rapidly emerging study field that has emerged as a potential issue for academics. Vehicle density is increasing day by day, producing major difficulties such as road accidents and traffic bottlenecks. These issues can be optimized by taking suitable lane changing decision on time and safely lane change take place. This article analyzed the causes of lane change and during the lane change taken adaptive data transmission rate to aware the surrounding vehicles about lane change maneuvers to avoid accidents and improvement of traffic mobility. The road map is design for this scenario, by the SUMO software and NS2 is used for providing communication during lane change among the surrounding vehicles.
