This paper explores the impact of 42V PowerNet automotive electrical systems on fuses. As the need for higher levels of efficiency and more power consuming electronics increases, the need for a higher voltage system also increases. From the information presented in this paper, a procedure has been developed for the proper selection of automotive fuses in a 42V automotive environment.
