This report is a three volume study on barge fleeting in the 235-mile-long corridor of the Lower Mississippi River from Baton Rouge to the Gulf of Mexico. Barge fleeting is identified as the assembly, mooring, shifting and breaking out of non-self-propelled barges. Volume II provides a methodological, objective tool towards identification, ranking, and selection of barge fleeting sites and alternatives throughout the subject region.
