The scope of the evaluation included vehicle performance, ride quality, acoustic transmission and absorptivity tests, and an evaluation of the squeal properties of several brake shoe types. Wherever appropriate, test data were compared to the vehicle specifications criteria and ride quality data were compared to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines for ride comfort. The test data show that the vehicles generally met the requirements of their specification criteria and deficiencies were noted in the friction-only and emergency braking performance.
