The Federal railroad safety laws are analyzed and the discussions include section-by-section summaries, relevant references to Congressional hearings, reports, and floor debate, and other valuable elements of the public record. Some of the major laws discussed are: the Federal Railroad Safety Act of 1970, the Federal Railroad Safety Authorization Act of 1976, the Transportation Safety Act of 1974, the Rail Service Passenger Act of 1970, and the Noise Control Act of 1972.
