The effort included a Literature Survey, formulation of a Plan of Work and Methodology and Investigation of Accidents in which vehicle defects were believed to be a contributing factor. A sample of all accidents in Monroe County was also analyzed which sought to relate various accident factors to vehicle age and make. (Author)
