Three areas of cryogenic technology pertinent to space applications are discussed: (1) tank designs for long-term storage, (2) miniaturized lequefaction systems and open-loop solid cryogens for cooling spaceborne sensors and equipment, and (3) cryosorption technology for space simulation chambers.
