On behalf of the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), TOI has conducted a survey of transport of hazardous goods in Norway. A large number of companies have reported quantity and destination of their shipments of dangerous goods in 2012, and this information is used to generate geographical plots showing the transport flows of hazardous goods in the road and rail network. There are plots for both each ADR-class and for selected hazardous substances. Transport of hazardous goods from Sjursoya, with special focus on transportation routes through Oslo, is shown in a separate chapter in the report. The report also contains information on the historical development in the turnover of flammable and toxic gases.
