The occurrence of troubleshooting for windshears during heavy rainstorms and its meaning to aviation is discussed. Three different kinds of windshears are identified. Their interference with air traffic, their causes, and heroic measures in the prevention of accidents are enumerated. It was found that the most frequently reported windshears are those occurring during extremely heavy winds.
