The enclosed Mission Operation Report (MOR) covers the PEGSAT mission which will be the payload for the first flight of the Pegasus launch vehicle. This report describes the objectives of the PEGSAT mission, a short discussion of the mission and its sequences, and a brief description of the spacecraft, the Pegasus launch vehicle, and the structure required to support launch and operation activities. The PEGSAT spacecraft was developed as a low-cost, quick-turnaround project by the Goddard Space Flight Center in response to a request from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to provide the initial measurements of the Pegasus payload environment. The two chemical- release experiments which will be conducted by PEGSAT are a part of the Combined Release and Radiation Effects Satellite (CRRES) program, a joint effort between NASA and the United States Air Force.
