Cotton, Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Copilot, has completed on 2 Apr 65. Takeoff from Edwards AFB runway 22 at 1116 hours PST, and landing; on Edwards runway 04 occurred at 1210 hours PST. The takeoff gross weight of 505,000 pounds was the heaviest to date. Total flight time, which was cut short by failure of the Utility No. 1 hydraulic system was fifty-four minutes. Twenty minutes of the flight here in actual weather. Supersonic speeds were not achieved due to the u1 failure.
