In this paper, we present the novel technique for the optical synthesis of the transfer function of a spectral dynamic Bragg filter. The technique of phase-shift keying consists in the formation of a reflective grating comprising several cells. We present the generalization of Kogelnik's coupled wave theory for precise calculations of the transfer function. In the experimental verification a photorefractive BaTiO/sub 3/:Co crystal as a dynamic holographic media was used.
