With the increase of traffic volume in urban areas, the existing urban traffic guidance system can no longer meet the daily travel needs of passengers. In order to provide passengers with more precise travel guidance, the article proposes an urban traffic flow guidance system based on Internet of Things, analyzes system requirements, and conducts preliminary design of the system. By locating the RFID system in the station, the real-time position information of passengers can be obtained, then the information is analyzed, processed and published in real time, so that the intuitive road network and passenger flow information can better guide passengers to travel. The urban traffic guidance system based on the Internet of Things can realize humanized guidance to drivers in real time, and reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents and congestion, greatly improving the efficiency of traffic operations.
