Many investigations have shown that microwave generators, being highly nonlinear, are capable of generating chaos. Through our own investigations into the problem of generating chaos in a plasma-filled diode in the presence of a magnetic field, it has been found that the magnetic field plays an important role in the changing the imbalance between electrons and ions, which leading to chaos.
