DE 10214711 A UPAB: 20031128 NOVELTY - The display has several first optical fibers (10) with first ends in an array to form a display field, light sources (5-7) supplying light to the opposite fiber ends and a control unit (1) for controling the light intensity of the light sources. The second end of each fiber is connected to an optical multiplexer (9) to which light is fed from three or more light sources of different colors via second optical fibers (8) for optional color mixing. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a display element for an inventive device. USE - For displaying information and moving images. ADVANTAGE - Enables optional changing information and/or images to be represented with high light density.
