The present invention provides, to a user who moves by walking or the like on a road or inside a facility, an appropriate route in accordance with an attribute pertaining to the walking of the user. An information provision system according to one embodiment comprises: a terminal device carried by a user; and an information provision device that provides information to the terminal device via a network. The terminal device includes a transmission unit that transmits, to the information provision device, a route acquisition request including a start position, an end position, and a target attribute, which is an attribute pertaining to the walking of the user. The information provision device includes: a request acquisition unit that acquires the route acquisition request from the terminal device; a retrieval unit that acquires the target attribute, retrieves map information including data for a plurality of routes for which is set an attribute of a person who can pass thereon, and generates passable route information indicating a route which connects the start position and the end position and which is passable by a person having the target characteristic; and a provision unit that provides, to the terminal device, the generated passable route information.
