The inventions relate to the field of installing and servicing devices for the outdoor display of video advertising. Methods for servicing modular video screens involve mounting modules of a modular video screen on and demounting same from a load-bearing surface using unmanned aerial vehicles. A modular video screen is calibrated using an unmanned aerial vehicle which films the surface of the video screen while in flight by means of an onboard video camera. The surface of a modular video screen is cleaned using brushes arranged on an unmanned aerial vehicle. During servicing operations, an unmanned aerial vehicle can attach itself to the surface of a modular video screen in order to reduce energy spent on countering the effect of gravity. Servicing of a modular video screen can be carried out using a robot which is lifted by an unmanned aerial vehicle. The result is the automation of the mounting, demounting and servicing of modular video screens.
