Disclosed are a method and a device to calculate a driving speed, capable of promoting convenience in product production, inventory, and distribution management; and a driver state monitoring system including the same. According to the present invention, a driving speed calculating device comprises: a signal discrimination unit receiving raw data inputted from a raw data generation device connected to an input socket through a universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) port and a general purpose input/output (GPIO) port, performing a validity test for two types of raw data received through the UART port and the GPIO port to discriminate any one of the raw data as valid raw data, and outputting the valid raw data and signal type information generated corresponding to the valid raw data; and a driving speed calculation unit receiving the valid raw data and signal type information to generate vehicle speed information corresponding to the driving speed calculated by processing the valid raw data in accordance with a processing method preset to correspond to the signal type information.
차속 산출 방법 및 장치와, 차속 산출 장치를 구비한 운전자 상태 감시 시스템이 개시된다. 차속 산출 장치는, 입력 소켓에 연결된 원시 데이터 생성 장치로부터 입력되는 원시 데이터를 UART 포트와 GPIO 포트를 통해 각각 제공받고, UART 포트와 GPIO 포트를 통해 각각 제공받은 2가지 형태의 원시 데이터에 대한 유효성 검사를 실시하여 어느 하나의 원시 데이터를 유효한 원시 데이터로 판별한 후, 상기 유효한 원시 데이터에 상응하도록 생성한 신호 타입 정보와 상기 유효한 원시 데이터를 출력하는 신호 판별부; 및 상기 신호 타입 정보와 상기 유효한 원시 데이터를 입력받아, 상기 신호 타입 정보에 부합하도록 미리 지정된 처리 방식에 따라 상기 유효한 원시 데이터를 처리하여 산출한 차량 속도에 상응하는 차량 속도 정보를 생성하는 차속 산출부를 포함한다.
