The present invention relates to a frame for an automobile using friction stir welding and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, relates to a frame for an automobile using friction stir welding and a manufacturing method thereof. The frame comprises: a front member formed to be long in a transverse direction; a pair of side members individually connected to be long in a longitudinal direction of a left and a right side of the front member; and a rear member wherein one end is connected to the side member in a left side, and the other end is connected to the side member in right side. A flange unit for friction stir welding is individually formed in the front member and the side members. The frame has a structure using friction stir welding.
본 발명은 마찰교반용접을 적용한 자동차용 프레임 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히, 횡방향으로 길게 형성되는 프론트멤버와, 상기 프론트멤버의 좌측과 우측에 각각 종방향으로 길게 연결되는 한 쌍의 사이드멤버와, 일단이 좌측의 상기 사이드멤버에 연결되고 타단이 우측의 상기 사이드멤버에 연결되는 리어멤버를 포함하되, 상기 프론트멤버와 한 쌍의 상기 사이드멤버에는 마찰교반용접을 위한 플랜지부가 각각 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하여, 마찰교반용접을 적용할 수 있는 구조의 마찰교반용접을 적용한 자동차용 프레임 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
