To solve a problem that a program size or a consumption memory amount becomes large because a different program needs to be installed for each actual state of a road in a conventional device of predicting behavior of other vehicles.SOLUTION: A route prediction device includes: an information acquisition unit for acquiring a position and speed of a self vehicle, positions and speeds of peripheral vehicles running around the self vehicle, and map information around the self vehicle; an interruption determination unit for determining whether or not the peripheral vehicles interrupt on a drive lane of the self vehicle based on an induction factor for inducing interruption of other vehicles; a virtual vehicle setting unit for determining a travel position on a road of a virtual vehicle expected to affect travel of an interruption vehicle determined to interrupt among the peripheral vehicles by using road information obtained from the map information; and a route prediction unit for predicting a travel route of one peripheral vehicle based on the travel position of the self vehicle, the travel positions of other peripheral vehicles, the travel position of the virtual vehicle, and the road information relative to the travel position of the one peripheral vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】従来の他車行動の予測装置では、道路実態ごとに異なるプログラムを搭載する必要があるため、プログラムサイズ、あるいは、消費メモリ量が大きくなるという問題があった。【解決手段】自車の位置と速度、自車の周辺を走行する周辺車両の位置と速度、および自車の周辺の地図情報を取得する情報取得部と、他車の割込みを誘発する誘発要因を基に、周辺車両が自車の走行車線上に割込むか否かを判定する割込み判定部と、地図情報から得られる道路情報を用いて、周辺車両のうち割込むと判定された割込み車両の走行に影響を与えると予想される仮想車両の道路上での走行位置を決定する仮想車両設定部と、一の周辺車両の走行位置に対する、自車の走行位置、他の周辺車両の走行位置、仮想車両の走行位置、および道路情報に基づいて、一の周辺車両の走行経路を予測する経路予測部と、を備えた。【選択図】図1
