To control a shape of a coil type filter to prevent loss of the shape at axial ends and thereby inhibit fraying of a metal wire.SOLUTION: A hollow cylindrical filter 10, which is fabricated by spirally winding a metal wire 20 in a large number of layers, includes a first multi-layered area 10e at an intermediate part as seen in an axial direction and includes second multi-layered areas 10c, 10D at ends as seen in the axial direction. In the hollow cylindrical filter 10, numbers of wire layers in the second multi-layered areas 10c, 10d is smaller than a number of wire layers in the first multi-layered area 10e.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

【課題】軸方向端部における形崩れを防止するように巻線型フィルタの形状を制御し、金属線材のほつれを抑制する。【解決手段】金属線材２０を螺旋状且つ多層状に巻き付けることにより作製される中空筒状フィルタ１０は、軸方向の中間部に第一の多層状領域１０ｅを、軸方向の端部に第二の多層状領域１０ｃ、１０ｄを備える。中空筒状フィルタ１０においては、第二の多層状領域１０ｃ、１０ｄの線材層数が、第一の多層状領域１０ｅの線材層数よりも少ない。【選択図】図５
