To provide a head-up display device which reduces the visibility of an irregular image due to a cross talk.SOLUTION: A processor executes: glow display processing of displaying one or a plurality of glow images G displayed in the left-right direction of a content image FU and not having a clear contour; and luminance reduction processing of reducing luminance of at least the content image FU by reducing the luminance of the left viewpoint image and the right viewpoint image when a prescribed condition is established. When the visibility of the content image FU prior to the first luminance reduction processing is first main visibility, the visibility of the glow image G at this time is first sub visibility, the visibility of the content image FU after the first luminance reduction processing is second main visibility, and the visibility of the glow image G at this time is second sub visibility, the luminance reduction processing reduces the luminance of the content image FU such that a second visibility ratio of the second sub visibility to the second main visibility becomes higher than a first visibility ratio of the first sub visibility to the first main visibility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7A

【課題】クロストークによる非正規画像の視認性を低下させるヘッドアップディスプレイ装置を提供する。【解決手段】プロセッサは、コンテンツ画像ＦＵの左右方向に表示され、はっきりとした輪郭を有さない１つ又は複数のグロー画像Ｇを表示するグロー表示処理と、所定の条件が成立した場合、左視点画像及び右視点画像の輝度を低くすることで、少なくともコンテンツ画像ＦＵの輝度を低くする輝度低下処理とを実行し、第１の輝度低下処理の前のコンテンツ画像ＦＵの視認性を第１の主視認性、この時のグロー画像Ｇの視認性を第１の副視認性、第１の輝度低下処理の後のコンテンツ画像ＦＵの視認性を第２の主視認性、この時のグロー画像Ｇの視認性を第２の副視認性とすると、輝度低下処理は、第２の副視認性の第２の主視認性に対する第２の視認性比率が、第１の副視認性の第１主視認性に対する第１の視認性比率より高くなるようコンテンツ画像ＦＵの輝度を低くする。【選択図】図７Ａ
