To provide a mechanism that can further improve a technique related to authentication between apparatuses.SOLUTION: A system includes a plurality of apparatuses. An apparatus included in the system communicates, using pairing information between apparatuses, with another apparatus that is included in the system and that mutually stores the pairing information between apparatuses, which is information for mutual authentication performed between the apparatus and the other apparatus. A component included in an apparatus communicates, using pairing information between components, with another component that is included in the same apparatus and that mutually stores the pairing information between components, which is information for mutual authentication performed between the component and the other component. When a deletion request, which is information requesting to delete the pairing information between apparatuses, is received, the pairing information between apparatuses stored in each of the plurality of apparatuses is deleted and the pairing information between components stored in the components is maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
