To facilitate avoidance of approaching an obstacle present in a blind spot between detection ranges of perimeter monitoring sensors in the horizontal direction while improving the detection accuracy of the position of the obstacle using the perimeter monitoring sensors even when using multiple perimeter monitoring sensors to monitor the perimeter of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle perimeter monitoring device includes: a first position identification unit 101 and a second position identification unit 102 that determine positions of obstacle detection points from detection results of a first sonar 21 and a second sonar 22; a position update unit 131 that updates the position with respect to a position group of the detection points according to the change in the position of a self vehicle; a storage processing unit 132 that stores the updated positions of the detection points in a non-volatile memory 142 when the vehicle is parked; and a position estimation unit 15 that estimates the position of the detection points present in a blind spot between the first sonar 21 and the second sonar 22 at the time of start using the position group of the detection points stored in the non-volatile memory 142.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
