To provide a vehicle transport vehicle which can prevent the damage on a machine such as load-carrying platform and inclined frame.SOLUTION: A vehicle transport vehicle 1 comprises: a vehicle body 10 which has a travel function; a load-carrying platform 13 being the load-carrying platform 13 mounted on the vehicle body 10 for transporting a loading object vehicle and configured to be slidable with respect to the vehicle body 10; a slide cylinder 4 which slidably moves the load-carrying platform 13; a slide cylinder length detector 8 which detects the length of the slide cylinder 4; a rear end roller 20 which supports the rear end of the load-carrying platform 13 when the load-carrying platform 13 slidably moves; a rear end roller grounding detector 9 which detects the presence/absence of grounding of the rear end roller 20; and a control device 100 being the control device 100 for controlling the slide cylinder 4 and configured to regulate the extension operation of the slide cylinder 4 if the rear end roller 20 does not ground even though the slide cylinder 4 exceeds the prescribed length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
