To provide a disembarkation support apparatus capable of reliably enhancing the safety for an occupant disembarking, while reducing consumption of extraneous power.SOLUTION: A disembarkation support apparatus, having functionality of causing a disembarkation limit part to execute a disembarkation limit operation that includes an alarm and/or an open-door limitation, in a case where a disembarkation action of an occupant is detected, with an obstacle being detected in an area surrounding a vehicle itself by an obstacle detection part, initiates the obstacle detection part and disembarkation limit part in a case where a disembarkation action is detected under a situation where the obstacle detection part and/or disembarkation limit part are not in operation. The obstacle detection part is configured to transmit a signal corresponding to an operation state after initiation and also in a case where the obstacle detection part is determined to be not normally operating on the basis of the aforementioned signal, the disembarkation limit part may be caused to forcibly execute the disembarkation limit operation. In a case where such forcible disembarkation limit operation is executed for a longer period than a given period, the disembarkation limit operation may be canceled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

【課題】不要な電力消費を低減しつつ乗員の降車時における安全性をより確実に高めることができる降車支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】乗員の降車動作が検出され且つ障害物検出部によって自車両周辺に障害物が検出される場合に警報及び／又は開扉制限を含む降車制限動作を降車制限部に実行させる降車支援装置において、障害物検出部及び／又は降車制限部が稼働していない状況において降車動作が検出された場合は障害物検出部及び降車制限部を起動させる。起動後の作動状態に対応する信号を送信するように障害物検出部を構成し且つ当該信号に基づいて障害物検出部が正常に作動していないと判定される場合は降車制限動作を降車制限部に強制的に実行させるようにしてもよい。このような強制的な降車制限動作が所定の期間よりも長く継続して実行されている場合は降車制限動作を解除するようにしてもよい。【選択図】図２
