To provide a power equipment management device and a management method that can reliably detect a failure even in the case of a high-resistance ground fault, and can be realized inexpensively.SOLUTION: A power equipment management device comprises a power equipment device for measuring power supplied to a power feeding section of a railway track, and a power equipment management device linked to an operation management device having operation information on a train traveling on the railway track to determine a failure that has occurred in the power feeding section of the railway track. The power equipment management device has a power consumption calculation function of estimating power consumption by the train in the power feeding section of the railway track at a predetermined time using the train operation information of the operation management device, and a power comparison and determination function of, for the same power feeding section of the railway track and the same predetermined time, comparing the estimated power consumption from the power consumption calculation function with measured power consumption from the power equipment device, and determining a failure that has occurred in the power feeding section of the railway track.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

【課題】高抵抗地絡の場合であっても確実に故障検知でき、かつ安価に実現可能な電力設備管理装置及び管理方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】電鉄線路の給電区間に給電する電力を計測する電力設備装置と、電鉄線路を走行する列車についての運行情報を有する運行管理装置に連携されて、電鉄線路の給電区間に生じた故障を判定する電力設備管理装置であって、電力設備管理装置は、運行管理装置の列車の運行情報を用いて、所定時刻に電鉄線路の給電区間に在線する列車による消費電力を推定する消費電力計算機能と、同一の電鉄線路の給電区間、かつ同一の所定時刻について、消費電力計算機能からの推定消費電力と電力設備装置からの計測消費電力を比較し、電鉄線路の給電区間に生じた故障を判定する電力比較判定機能を備えることを特徴とする電力設備管理装置。【選択図】図５
