To disclose an example of a slide device which can inhibit a lubricant from adhering to parts other than the slide device (for example, shoes of a seated person) when a movable rail slides to a large extent, and a track surface is thereby exposed.SOLUTION: A slide device 10 comprises a first rail cover 21 which covers the outer periphery on one end side in the longitudinal direction of a fixed rail 11 and is slidable in the longitudinal direction, and which is displaced by sliding together with a movable rail 12 when one end in the longitudinal direction of the movable rail 12 protrudes from one end in the longitudinal direction of the fixed rail 11.
