To disclose one example of a speed reduction device capable of restricting enlargement of a vehicle seat.SOLUTION: In a speed reduction device 10, components constituting a Taumel mechanism and an Oldham's joint mechanism such as an external tooth gear 15, a pivot 16, a spring 17, a transmission member 18 are stored inside a storage part 13. The storage part 13 is constituted by a first casing 11 and a second casing 12 formed in a round dish-shape. The second casing 12 is arranged coaxially with the first casing 11 and relatively rotatable with respect to the first casing 11 while having slidable contact with the first casing 11. Thus, a part of the constitution components is restricted from projecting to an outside of the storage part 13, thereby restricting enlargement of a vehicle seat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】 乗物用シートの大型化を招くことを抑制可能な減速装置の一例を開示する。【解決手段】 減速装置１０では、外歯歯車１５、旋回軸１６、バネ１７及び伝達部材１８等のタウメル機構及びオルダム継手機構を構成する部品を収納部１３内に収納されている。収納部１３は、円形皿状の第１ケーシング１１及び第２ケーシング１２により構成され、かつ、第２ケーシング１２は、第１ケーシング１１と同軸線上に配設されて当該第１ケーシング１１に滑り接触しながら当該第１ケーシング１１に対して相対的に回転可能である。これにより、それら構成部品の一部が収納部１３外に突出してしまうことを抑制でき得る。延いては、乗物用シートの大型化を招くことを抑制でき得る。【選択図】 図４
