To provide a rubber composition capable of improving initial wet grip performance, wet grip performance after long term deterioration, low fuel consumption performance, abrasion resistance in good balance, and a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition containing a rubber component containing a diene rubber, and glycerol aliphatic acid triester derived from plant, in which the glycerol aliphatic acid triester has content of saturated aliphatic acid of 10 to 25 mass%, and content of monovalent unsaturated aliphatic acid having 1 unsaturated bond of less than 50 mass% in 100 mass% of constituent aliphatic acids.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】初期ウェットグリップ性能、経年劣化後のウェットグリップ性能、低燃費性能、耐摩耗性能をバランスよく改善できるゴム組成物、及びこれを用いた空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】ジエン系ゴムを含むゴム成分と、植物由来のグリセロール脂肪酸トリエステルとを含有し、前記グリセロール脂肪酸トリエステルが、構成脂肪酸１００質量％中の、飽和脂肪酸の含有量が１０〜２５質量％、不飽和結合を１個有する１価不飽和脂肪酸の含有量が５０質量％未満であるゴム組成物。【選択図】なし
