To provide a cutoff tool for a joint part of a wire harness part that facilitates management on the injection amount of a cutoff agent.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a cutoff tool which comprises a joint part between the other end of a drain line of a shield wire having one end cut off, and one end of a core conductor of a coated electric wire, and connects the coated electric wire to an earth circuit in an electronic control unit, and the cutoff tool consists of a main body and a lid. The inside of the main body is partitioned with a partition wall into a cutoff chamber of small capacity and a cutoff agent reservoir chamber having larger capacity than the cutoff chamber. The cutoff chamber is an arrangement part for a core conductor exposure part from a coating end part of the coated electric wire, and while the partition wall is provided with an opening for core conductor penetration, the cutoff agent reservoir chamber is provided with a positioning retention base for the joint part, and the lid is provided with a cutoff agent injection port for injecting a cutoff agent into the cutoff chamber, the coating inside being deaired from the other end of the coated electric wire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
