PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indentation evaluation device and an indentation evaluation method capable of evaluating indentations more easily compared to the case of using an actual machine of a passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: An indentation evaluation device comprises a lower roller, an upper roller holding a test piece between itself and the lower roller, a weight unit brought into contact with the upper roller from above, and a holding unit. The holding unit holds the lower roller at a fixed position, holds the upper roller slidably in a vertical direction at an upper portion of the lower roller and holds the weight unit slidably in a vertical direction at an upper portion of the upper roller. The outer diameter of the lower roller is 100-220 mm and the outer diameter of the upper roller is 70-110 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
