PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphic meter that can lessen discomfort to be given to drivers.SOLUTION: A graphic meter is configured to: display a circle-shape rpm image EG including a scale image SG and pointer image GG on a display instrument; and display information on a shift lever different from the rpm to be indicated by an index part Sc in an area A having a center position CP of the rpm image EG included, in which in the pointer image GG, the center position CP is a rotation center, and a position apart by a fixed distance from the center position CP is located as a root position RP, thereby the pointer image GG is configured not to be overlappedly displayed in the area A. The graphic meter comprises a sub CPU that deletes the pointer image GG as making the pointer image GG sequentially contract in a long-side direction when an ignition switch is turned OFF. Upon deleting the pointer image GG as making the pointer image GG sequentially contract, with the root position RP of the pointer image GG made stationary, the sub CPU is configured to fix the root position RP of the pointer image GG; and make a contraction rate of a tip end part T of the pointer image GG is smaller than that of a main body part B thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】運転者に与える違和感を軽減することが可能な車両用表示装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用表示装置は、目盛画像ＳＧ及び指針画像ＧＧを有する円状のエンジン回転数画像ＥＧを表示器に表示すると共に、エンジン回転数画像ＥＧの中心位置ＣＰを含む領域Ａに指標部Ｓｃにて示すエンジン回転数と異なるシフトレバー位置の情報を表示し、指針画像ＧＧは中心位置ＣＰが回転中心であって中心位置ＣＰから一定距離だけ離れた位置を根元位置ＲＰとすることで、領域Ａに指針画像ＧＧが重なって表示されないようにしたものであって、イグニッションスイッチのオフ時に、指針画像ＧＧをその長手方向に順次縮小させながら消去するサブＣＰＵを備え、サブＣＰＵは、指針画像ＧＧを順次縮小させながら消去する場合において、指針画像ＧＧの根元位置ＲＰを固定とし、指針画像ＧＧの本体部Ｂの縮小率よりも先端部Ｔの縮小率を小さくする。【選択図】図２
