PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a cushion member that allows an occupant detection sensor to be stably operated.SOLUTION: The cushion member is used for a vehicular seat configured so that an occupant detection sensor is operated when the occupant is seated so as to detect whether the occupant is present or not and comprises a pad material and a seat material 62 to be arranged on a surface at the opposite side of the occupant side of the pad material. The seat material 62 is a portion which can contact the occupant detection sensor and has: a sensor operation portion 63 that contacts the occupant detection sensor to operate the occupant detection sensor when the occupant is seated; and a plurality of positioning portions 64A, provided around the sensor operation portion 63, which position the seat material 62 relative to a mold. In the manufacturing method for the cushion member, the seat material 62 is set in the mold and a material for the pad material is cast into the mold and then solidified, in a state where a positioning portion 64A is aligned with a mold-side positioning portion 84A of the mold and the sensor operation portion 63 is expanded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
