PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give notice of the accurate positions of pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, and automobiles to other pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, and automobiles to display the positions in order to reduce the occurrence frequency of traffic accidents.SOLUTION: A traffic accident prevention system comprises: a plurality of wireless tags TAG 1-3 installed on a traffic light SIG; first multifunctional communication devices SP1 held by pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, and automobiles; and second multifunctional communication devices SP2 held by pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, and automobiles. Each first multifunctional communication device SP1 comprises: ranging means for measuring distances to the plurality of wireless tags from the round-trip time of a radio signal; and position calculation means for calculating the position of the first multifunctional communication device SP1 from the plurality of measured distances. After the position calculation means calculates positional information, a radio communication device in the first multifunctional communication device SP1 transmits the positional information, and a radio communication device in each second multifunctional communication device SP2 receives and displays the positional information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】交通事故の発生頻度を抑制するために、歩行者・自転車・バイク・自動車の位置を、他の歩行者・自転車・バイク・自動車に精度よく知らせて表示する。【解決手段】信号機SIGに設置された複数の無線タグTAG1〜3と、歩行者・自転車・バイク・自動車が有する第一の多機能通信装置SP1と、歩行者・自転車・バイク・自動車が有する第二の多機能通信装置SP2からなる交通事故防止システムである。第一の多機能通信装置SP1は、複数の無線タグまでの距離を無線信号の往復時間から測定する測距手段と、複数の測定した距離から第一の多機能通信装置SP1の位置を算出する位置算出手段とを備える。位置算出手段が位置情報を算出後、第一の多機能通信装置SP1内の無線通信機により、当該位置情報を送信し、第二の多機能通信装置SP2内の無線通信機が、当該位置情報を受信して表示する。【選択図】図1
