The present disclosure relates to a charger 1 for wirelessly charging a cellular telephone T. The charger 1 comprises a housing 9 for receiving a portion of the cellphone T, and a charging panel 7 comprising means (fig 5, 30) for wirelessly charging the phone (T). The charging panel 7 is movably mounted to the housing 9 and is movable between a non charging position and a charging position. The charging panel 7 may extend from the housing 9 when in the charging position and retract into the housing 9 in the non-charging position. The housing 9 may be configured to be mounted in a cup holder of a vehicle and may pivot between charging and non-charging positions. The means for charging the phone may make use of coils and charge the phone by induction. The charger may make use of an LED to indicate the charging status of the device.
