The present invention relates to an on-board information system for detecting obstacles for an aircraft and/or maritime vessel, in particular for use in boating, comprising at least one first on-board terminal provided with means for passively detecting previously registered obstacles with respect to a determination of the geographical coordinates of the aircraft and/or vessel; a second mobile on-board terminal provided separately from the at least one first terminal; the second mobile terminal being connected so as to communicate with the at least one first terminal and comprising vibrating alert means activated by the at least one signal, characterised in that the first terminal is onboard and provided with means for passively detecting previously registered obstacles with respect to a determination of the geographical coordinates of the aircraft and/or vessel.
