The invention relates to an assembly for supporting a torque of a transmission of a rail vehicle, with a motor (MOT), with a transmission (GET) with a load-bearing structure (RAH) of the rail vehicle, and with a torque support (DMS) which is connected to the transmission (GET) and to the load-bearing structure (RAH), in order to introduce a differential torque of the transmission (GET) into the load-bearing structure (RAH). The torque support (DMS) has two fibre elements (FE1, FE2) which are configured for the exclusive transmission of tensile forces. Connector points (AP1) of a first tensile element (FE1) are selected in such a way that the first tensile element (FE1) introduces a first tensile force, which results from the differential torque, of a first rotational direction of the motor (MOT) into the load-bearing structure (RAH). Connector points (AP2) of a second tensile element (FE2) are selected in such a way that the second tensile element (FE2) introduces a second tensile force, which results from the differential torque, of a second rotational direction of the motor (MOT) into the load-bearing structure (RAH).
