The invention relates to an arrangement for a rail vehicle comprising a sanitary cell (1) having at least one side wall (10) for delimiting an interior of the sanitary cell in relation to its surroundings, wherein the sanitary cell (1) has, in an upper region of the at least one side wall (10), a collar-shaped ceiling portion (5) that closes off to the top the interior of the sanitary cell (1) in the region of the side wall (10) and otherwise opens the interior of the sanitary cell (1) to the top, and to a rail vehicle having at least one such arrangement.
