The invention relates to the technical field of elevators, in particular to an elevator maintenance pit installation safety distance detection device which comprises a touch device, a control device used for being electrically connected with the touch device at the top of an elevator shaft, and a stopping device electrically connected with the control device and used for stopping falling of an elevator car frame. The touch device comprises a telescopic assembly arranged at the bottom of the elevator shaft and a microswitch assembly which is arranged at the bottom of the lift car frame and can be matched with the telescopic assembly to send an electrical signal to the control device when the lift car frame falls. The problems that when elevator pit components need to be overhauled, maintenance personnel enter a pit for overhauling, sometimes, due to manual operation errors, an elevator squats to the bottom, and safety shearing accidents happen are solved, a user sets a microswitch assembly to be matched with a telescopic assembly, the microswitch assembly sends an electrical signal to a control device, and the control device controls the elevator pit components to be overhauled. And therefore, the braking device is triggered to emergently brake the car frame, and the life safety of maintenance personnel is effectively ensured.
