The invention relates to a capsule type water quality detector and a control method and system.The capsule type water quality detector comprises a curved surface light obtaining component, a waistband type control component, a counterweight balance component and a water quality detection assembly from top to bottom; a waistband type moving track in the waistband type control component is annularly arranged on a shell of the waistband type control component, and a multi-angle steering paddle can do reciprocating motion on the waistband type moving track under the control of a controller to push a detector to generate displacement; the curved surface light obtaining component comprises a photovoltaic module arranged on the shell and a rubber air cavity which is arranged inside and is communicated with the outside through an air interaction module; the counterweight balancing component is provided with a counterweight cabin for accommodating a plurality of counterweight blocks; the water quality detection assembly comprises a cable extension device and a water quality detection probe which are connected through a signal cable. The water quality detector can automatically detect a plurality of different depth detection points of a water body, so that the detection accuracy is improved, and the detection time is shortened.
