Provided is an occupant protection device capable of smoothly flowing inflation gas from an inflator body into an airbag even when an external impact acts from the lateral direction of a vehicle. An occupant protection device (S) for protecting an occupant (MP) seated on a seat (1) is provided with: a seat belt (7); an airbag (25) that is disposed in a region of a belt (10) that restrains the waist of the occupant when worn on the seat belt (7), and that is inflated so as to be able to protect the upper body (MU) of the occupant (MP); an inflator main body (18) which is fixed to a seat frame (4) of the seat (1) and which generates inflation gas; and a tube section (19) that extends from the inflator main body (18) and guides inflation gas into the airbag (25). The tube section (19) is disposed on the vehicle center side in the vehicle width direction of the seat (1).

提供一种乘员保护装置，即使在从车辆的横向作用有外部冲击时，也能够使得来自充气机主体的膨胀用气体顺畅地流入至气囊。用于保护就坐于座椅(1)的乘员(MP)的乘员保护装置(S)具有：座椅安全带(7)；气囊(25)，其在座椅安全带(7)配置于佩戴时约束乘员的腰部的腰带(10)的区域，以能够保护乘员(MP)的上半身(MU)的方式膨胀；充气机主体(18)，其固定于座椅(1)的座椅框架(4)，产生膨胀用气体；以及管部(19)，其从充气机主体(18)延伸而将膨胀用气体引导至气囊(25)内。管部(19)配置于座椅(1)的车宽方向的车辆中央侧。
