Abstract

The invention relates to a wheeled cart with a vibration damping device, and related systems and methods. A patient side cart for a telecontrolled surgical system may include a base, a post connected to the base, a boom connected to the post, a manipulation arm connected to the boom, and a vibration damping member. The manipulation arm may be configured to support a surgical instrument. The damping member may be configured to move relative to the base between deployed and retracted positions. The damping member may engage the ground in the deployed position and is not in contact with the ground in the retracted position. Various exemplary embodiments also relate to a cart including the vibration damping member and a method of controlling the vibration damping member.
