The invention relates to an adjustment device for an exterior vision unit of a vehicle, comprising a base shaft and a housing which surrounds the base shaft and which can be pivoted about a longitudinal axis of the base shaft in an adjustment range at least between a parking position and a driving position. The adjustment device further comprises a drive gear comprising a face provided with external teeth surrounding the base shaft, and a gear body, where the face defines a face height within which a web member of the gear body extends between the base shaft and the face substantially in a transverse plane relative to the base shaft. Furthermore, the adjustment device comprises a spring surrounding the base shaft, the spring being supported on a support surface of the gear body for exerting a spring force on the drive gear along the longitudinal axis. The support surface is recessed in the axial direction relative to a transverse plane in which the web member extends substantially such that the spring passes through the transverse plane.
