The invention provides a headlamp and a headlamp control system capable of improving visual observability under a low beam. The headlamp (10A) can switch between a first low-beam light distribution state in which a low-beam region on the front side of the vehicle is irradiated, and a second low-beam light distribution state in which a low-beam region on the front side of the vehicle is irradiated. At least one of a widthwise intermediate portion, one widthwise end portion, and the other widthwise end portion of the low-beam region is irradiated brighter than in the first low-beam light distribution state.

本发明提供一种能够提高近光灯下的视觉观察性的前照灯及前照灯控制系统。前照灯(10A)能够切换第一近光配光状态及第二近光配光状态，在第一近光配光状态下，照射车辆正面的近光区域，在第二近光配光状态下，将近光区域的宽度方向中间部、宽度方向一端部及宽度方向另一端部中的至少一方照射得比第一近光配光状态亮。
